Instructions
- Prepare the citrus juice:
- Dissolve the Citrusense powder in 200 ml of water. Adjust the flavor intensity to your liking.
- Cook the shrimp “cold”:
- Place the shrimp in a bowl and cover with the Citrusense juice.
- Refrigerate for 30 to 45 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and look firm (this indicates they are "cooked" by the acid).
- Mix the fresh ingredients:
- Lightly drain the shrimp, leaving a little liquid.
- Add the onion, tomato, cucumber, mango (if using), chili, and cilantro.
- Add Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce if desired, and adjust with salt and pepper. Mix well.
- Serves:
- Decorate with avocado cubes to taste.
- Serve cold with toast, crackers or chips.
